2015 INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF LIGHT

Hosted by Prof Leonardo Longo and set in the beautiful city of Firenze, the Laser Florence 2015 Congress proved an interesting and inspiring gathering – studded with contributions from some of the BIG names within the Laser Industry and Research. New for this year were two days of dedicated Veterinary contributions – with Ron Hirschberg and ‘Chip’ Godine from America and Katalin Kovacs of Budapest, bringing practical studies and application from the forefront of clinical practice.

My talk on ‘Thermographic Evidence of Laser Acupuncture Effectiveness’ was well received and, as a consequence, I am now in collaboration with Lilach Gavish, The Medical Neurobiology Department, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

All in all a great event  …  !!

Just returned from speaking at the Worlds 1st High-Tech Acupuncture Conference in Nanjing, China.

A really interesting gathering, that presented and discussed many future possibilities within Acupuncture.
Delegates arrived from all round the globe and many new contacts and friends were made – especially in the form of Jean-Pierre and Rubin Fossion from Belgium and Mexico respectively, Dr Dorothea Zeise-Suss from Germany and Prof Kyu Hyun Park from Korea.

I gave a lecture on the use of thermography to prove the efficacy of Class 3B Laser Acupuncture when applied to specific points, showing the maintained circulatory difference pre and post application – using both human and animal examples.
The lecture will be followed by an article in the Journal of Integrative Medicine.

The next 2013 Veterinary Laser Course is soon to be announced …
This course is designed specifically for Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses to give an indepth understanding of Laser Therapy and its application not only to domestic pets, but also to Avian and Exotics – including best practice and integration alongside conventional veterinary medicine.

Busy, Busy, Busy  ….

In between preparing for the next Newmarket courses at the beginning of next month and the stallion research I’m undertaking at West Kington Stud, along side Vets Chris Shepherd and Martin Boyle, I’m taking time out this week to zip down to London to attend The Vet Show at Olympia with my colleagues at Omega Laser Systems   –   if you’re down that way come visit us on Stand 90 and enter our draw for a free place on one of our Courses !!!
